The Republic of Cape Verde is a country located 600 km off the coast of Dakar, Senegal.
The country, which means "green cape" in Portuguese, got its start when Portugal established a slave trade base on what was originally an uninhabited island.
It has a unique Portuguese-African mix of cultures and is especially known for its music and cuisine.
The Republic of Cape Verde consists of 15 islands of various sizes, all of which have rich nature and beautiful seas.
Among them, Santa Maria on Sal Island is said to be the most beautiful beach in the Republic of Cabo Verde, and many tourists come to see its white sand and emerald green color.
