Mumbai, which became India's largest shipbuilding city after the 17th century, partly due to the influence of the British East India Company, and a key trading center on the west coast of India, has recently experienced economic development in areas such as the diamond processing industry, healthcare, and IT industry, and is now India's largest financial and commercial city.<\/p>\n

Although India is experiencing remarkable economic development, including Mumbai, there are still many problems within the country.<\/p>\n

Among them, racial discrimination based on the caste system still persists today and is a serious problem.<\/p>\n

Birth has limited not only social status, but also occupation and marital status, and those of lower class are often the targets of atrocities.<\/p>\n

We should not forget that these social problems lie in the background along with India's remarkable economic development.<\/p>\n
