The historic city of Constantine, Algeria. Originally named Quilta, the city was rebuilt by the Roman Emperor Constantine in 311 and took its present name. It is the third largest city in Algeria.
Constantine is located at an altitude of approximately 600 meters above sea level, with the city center situated on a cliff approximately 200 meters above sea level. The city has a ravine and eight bridges connecting the city. It is therefore also called "the town of bridges.
The old town also has many stores and is a famous tourist attraction.
