The outbreak of this virus and the response to it have caused a variety of issues and problems, and have even contributed to the problems the world is facing. However, it can be said that this aspect has not received as much attention in the press. In addition to the new coronavirus, there were several other healthcare issues that caused enormous damage to humanity in 2021. Moreover, in addition to healthcare issues, events and phenomena that affect many people in politics, economics, and society are constantly occurring around the world.

In these days when the SDGs are being called for, it made me think about the fact that this kind of news had not been reported in the media. Another article in GNV mentioned that the relationship with Japan has a lot to do with the amount of coverage, and I think that is really true when looking at the ranked events. I felt that the media should take into account the importance of the event to the world, not its importance to Japan.
I felt that it was all serious news, but to be honest, there were many things I did not know until I read this article.
I reflected on the fact that the media is responsible for the amount of zero coverage, but also that we, the public, are responsible for not paying attention to these issues.
