The Petrovaradin Fortress is located on the right bank of the Danube River in Serbia. This location is very convenient as a fortress, and there is evidence that a fortress may have existed here since BC. The fortress has experienced numerous wars, including World War I. However, it has now fulfilled its original role and attracts many people as a venue for music festivals and a tourist attraction.
