This castle stands elegantly on the shore of a lake. This is Mir Castle in Belarus. The castle was built between the 15th and 16th centuries, and although it was destroyed during the European wars that followed, it was rebuilt in the 19th century. In 2000, it was registered as a World Heritage site, and its interior is now a museum and a tourist attraction.
Belarus was ruled by various countries for a long time due to its location between Russia and Poland, and became independent only after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Belarus is a young country, having gained independence as a republic only 30 years ago.
The palace and the east tower are in the Renaissance style, while the rest of the castle is in the Gothic style, and it can be said that this is a heritage that preserves the history of the rule of the country of Belarus to the present day.
