The one who is hard at work on the sewing machine making the flag is ... a child.
In May 2012, this painting was found on the wall of a retail store in London called Poundland (the flag is real, not a painting). Poundland is a chain of stores that sell very inexpensive general merchandise for as little as one pound per item.
In the past, a seven-year-old child worked in a factory in India that produced Poundland products.detectionI have done so.
In addition, at the time the paintings were discovered, London was not yet hosting the Olympic Games, and questions were being asked about where and under what working conditions the various Olympic souvenirs were produced.
