Sighişoara (Romania) was founded at the end of the 12th century by Germanic Saxon craftsmen and merchants, and over the centuries it flourished as an important military and commercial center.
Today, the fortress, houses, stores, and other structures from those days remain intact in the old town, which has the appearance of a fortress. There is also the birthplace of Vlad Tsepesh, the famous model for Count Dracula, which is now used as a restaurant.
In a town where one can still feel the breath of the Middle Ages, people still live their lives.
