Sudan, a country in northeast Africa, borders the Red Sea in the east.
On the coast are the cities of Suakin, once the largest port city on the Red Sea with thousands of years of history, and Port Sudan, the largest port in Sudan, which was newly built after independence and has become a popular destination for tourists.
Their goal is the beautiful waters of the Red Sea.
The Red Sea is home to coral reefs, including Sanganeb Atoll, the northernmost atoll in the world and a popular diving and snorkeling spot.
The two national parks in the Red Sea are registered as World Natural Heritage sites, where visitors can see diverse ecosystems and rare large marine life found in the mangroves, including shark species such as hammerhead and whale sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, rays, Napoleon fish, and dugongs.
