This is Morelia, a city in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. The beautiful shining building is the Morelia Cathedral.
Construction began in 1660 under Spanish design and was completed 84 years later in 1774. With two bell towers of approximately 70 meters, it is the fourth tallest building in Mexico. The interior was initially Baroque in style, but most of it was converted to the neoclassical style in the 19th century.
The cathedral has an organ with 4,600 pipes, built in Germany in the early 20th century. The cathedral also hosts international music festivals and organ festivals.
In addition, the Historic Center of Morelia, where the Morelia Cathedral is located, is a World Heritage Site. Meanwhile, the state of Michoacán is experiencing problems involving drug smuggling groups.
