Green, red, yellow, blue.... The colorful striped pattern of the cityscape is eye-catching. This is Costa Nova, a city in northern Portugal. Costa Nova used to be a fishing town, and houses with exterior walls like these were built so that fishermen could distinguish their homes during heavy fog. Today, most of these houses are villas, and Costa Nova is a bustling, quiet little resort.
